ABOUT REVOLVE

At REVOLVE, we believe water is too valuable to use only once. It should revolve. We’re a team of industry experts, entrepreneurs and water technology specialists working hands-on to transform how industries use water. Instead of treating it as a cost or constraint, we turn water into a strategic asset. You’ll work on real impact: upgrading industrial systems, applying smart digital optimization, and helping leading companies reduce costs while moving toward circular water use. Our approach is pragmatic, fast-moving, and focused on results. If you want to build, improve and rethink how water works in industry — join the water (r)evolution.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our first Project Engineer, you will be at the heart of every project Revolve delivers. You will take ownership of the technical engineering work across process, mechanical, and multidisciplinary coordination — from the design basis through to construction support and commissioning. This is a role for someone with a genuine passion for engineering. You will work across disciplines, solve real technical problems, and see your work built and operating in the field. As the company grows, you will have the opportunity to lead your own engineering team, mentor junior engineers, and help shape the engineering culture at Revolve.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Developing and reviewing process designs, mass balances, P&IDs, and hydraulic calculations for industrial water and wastewater treatment systems
  • Preparing and coordinating technical deliverables across disciplines (process, piping, mechanical, E&I, civil) in line with Revolve’s engineering standards
  • Supporting equipment selection and sizing: pumps, blowers, mixers, screens, dosing systems, and process-specific equipment
  • Preparing technical specifications, data sheets, and bid evaluation documents for equipment and subcontracted works
  • Coordinating with the CAD team on design development and ensuring that drawings accurately reflect the engineering intent
  • Participating in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings
  • Supporting construction and commissioning activities through technical follow-up and problem-solving on site
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of Revolve’s engineering standards, templates, and design tools

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE ROLE?

  • A Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • 0–5 years’ experience in process engineering, project engineering, or a design office environment (strong graduates with the right mindset are welcome)
  • Solid understanding of process engineering fundamentals: mass and energy balances, fluid mechanics, unit operations
  • Interest in or exposure to water and wastewater treatment technologies (biological treatment, physico-chemical processes, sludge handling, biogas)
  • Ability to read and produce P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as Excel-based calculations, AutoCAD (reading level), and general data handling
  • A structured, analytical, and hands-on working style — you want to understand how things work and make them work better
  • Fluent in English; good working knowledge of Dutch or French are a plus
  • A team player with the ambition to grow into a technical lead role and help build Revolve’s engineering department

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

  • A founding role: you will be the first Project Engineer and help define how engineering is done at Revolve
  • A meaningful position within a company with a clear mission — reusing and optimising water rather than wasting it
  • Exposure to the full project lifecycle, from concept design to commissioning and handover
  • Technically diverse projects in industrial water treatment, biogas valorisation, and circular water systems
  • Direct collaboration with experienced process technologists, the CTO, and a growing multidisciplinary team
  • A pragmatic working environment where engineering quality, ownership, and initiative matter more than process
  • A real growth path — as Revolve scales, you grow into leading your own engineering group
  • Competitive salary package with fringe benefits
